Gabriele Franco is a lawyer specializing in artificial intelligence law, privacy and data protection, and new technology law.

He regularly assists Italian and foreign companies, international groups and public bodies on a wide range of advisory and data protection compliance matters. He has also developed specific expertise in advisory and compliance aspects relating to the development and use of artificial intelligence systems and Privacy Enhancing Technologies (e.g. synthetic data).

For several years he has been a frequent speaker at conferences in Italy and across Europe on artificial intelligence, privacy, new technology law and information, and he is the author of academic publications and articles in these fields. He is also a registered journalist and writes about legal tech, digital rights, privacy and artificial intelligence for magazines and newspapers.

Gabriele is also the creator and curator of the Fake News Festival, a national event that explores the phenomenon of fake news from a broad, cross-cutting perspective, promoting a culture of information and critical thinking and directly engaging citizens at every level.
