The Italian DPA (the Garante) in partnership with ACCREDIA, national accreditation body appointed by the Italian Government, called the Parliament to act for defining a clear and transparent set of standards and criteria for certifications and accreditations of certification bodies issuing privacy seals under Regulation (EU) n. 679/2016 (General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR) (link).
